Come outside and come with us!! We’re hosting a 2-hour creative workshop in the park!!!

We'll dive into practical actions of "Creative Compassion" and mess around in the playground of social experimentation. 🐸

We've been exploring the meaning of "compassion" (through Eastern and Western lenses). Turns out it's not the same as empathy! We also asked ourselves the question: "What do I need to be compassionate?" Well, compassion is a VERB! It's something we can actively create and manifest. This is what we'll do in the workshop.

We've assembled for you a playful and creative program to actively experiment in creative compassion. It will include elements of:

- Mini lecture & adventure into the topic

- Playful ritual

- Creative forms of dialogue & question crafting

- Getting your hands dirty and making something

- A surprise

Your hosts, Joshua and Rowan are two play-focused social designers ready to set the mood for compassion and heartfulness!

🐼 Rowan Bartelink is a recently turned entrepreneur, social designer and skateboard teacher and interdisciplinary creative that always has the societal interest in mind. She combines gamification with design thinking and elements from psychology and eastern philosophy to design interventions and products for sustainable social change.

Her business is called Huis de Uitdaging aka House the challenge, with which she encourages individuals and companies to take their ideas, life or business to the next level by slaying their challenges.

🦎 Joshua Glass is a social designer, meditator and gardener. He looks with an interdisciplinary and living-systems lens to host interactions among people, themselves and the more-than-human. He hosts experimental dinners, guides outdoor meditations, and conducts experiments of flexible mutual-aid communities.

He co-founded Stichting The Treehouse in Maastricht as a place and platform to encourage emotional integrity and silliness in the context of deep community. Recently, his focus is in cultivating a deeper practice of permaculture design and community building.
